Lightning detection network

Our lightning sensors can detect lightning discharges in clouds as well as on the ground.

With our partner EarthNetworks we have established a worldwide network with installations on schools, stadiums, houses and corporate buildings. Everywhere you live and work. Infoplaza has set up a high quality network for The Netherlands. We can provide you with a sensor at your location so that we can detect and localize discharges in a timely manner.

Safety tips during thunderstorms

Counting during a thunderstorm can help you to estimate how close the dangerous weather is. It is important to move inside if the time between the flash and thunder is less than 30 seconds.

When outside, do not take cover under a tree. Move to open terrain, make yourself small and dispose of items that can attract electric discharges, such as umbrellas or metal objects. Remember the 30 seconds rule and stay informed on the actual weather forecasts with our websites and apps.
